This could be anyone's story: Do you accept?

The event shaped me, but do not define me

Feb 15th 1987- I make my quick entrance into the world. Last child and only girl in the family.

1990- My grandfather dies. I still don't know what I feel about this. So many un answered questions. But I do remember this.

1990- Fiona(My aunt) diagnosed with a brain tumour.

1991- Fiona passes away at age 26, as a 4 year old I am devestated that I never got to say goodbye.

1992- Helen(my aunt) dies suddenly of a heart attack at age 50. Why so much sadness.

1995- Michael (my cousin) battles lukemia. Finally given the all clear.

1996- Mum diagnosed with kidney cancer. Given the all clear after surgery.

1997- My beloved nana dies in her sleep.

1999- Michael diagosed with cancer of the tongue. Told he will never speak again. Beats the odds.

1999-Mum diganosed with breast cancer, surgery and radation give her the all clear.

1999-Michelle(My aunt)diagnosed with hodgkin's lymphoma, regects conventional treatment for natural medicines.

2000- Michael's cancer returns to the throat.

2000- Michael dies at age 15

2005(March) my oma(grandmother) is diagnosed with a rare and aggressive stomach cancer. To late for treatment.

2005(September) My mum has a grand mal seizure, it is revealed she has 13 metastized brain tumors from the breast cancer. She is given between 6 weeks and 1 year to live with aggressive treatment.

2005(September) Michelle passes away leaving behind 3 young children.

2005(December) Oma passes away.

2006(December) 15 months after her diagnosis my mum loses her battle with breast cancer.

2007(May) Dad diagnosed with esophageal cancer. Outlook not good. 3 months of chemo, 10 hour operation to remove shrunken tumour. 3 more months of chemo.

2008(March) Remission. So far dad has beaten 75 % of the odds.

Accept that the person you love is flawed and constantly makes mistakes?
Do you take the good with the bad?
